2013 Alberta Floods

On June 20, 2013, the town of High River, Alberta was evacuated as result of the flooding Highwood River – 13,000 residents. Flooding displaced over 100,000 people in southern Alberta that week, including in Calgary. Damages were estimated to be in the billions of dollars. Four people died as a result of the floods.
