Here are a few images from a couple rolls of black and white film I put through my 1934 Leica III, with the classic collapsible Elmar 50mm – f/3.5 lens, during a three-day visit to New York City in March 2018. Ilford HP5 400 and Kodak Tri-X 400TX were the types of film used.
I recently put a roll of 400 T-Max Kodak black and white negative film through a 1934 Leica III and developed the film personally. It’s the first roll of film I’ve developed myself in around 15 years. The resulting images aren’t bad for an 83-year-old camera, wielded by a photog who hasn’t shot or developed […]
Calgary Foothills FC recently completed their inaugural season in the Premier Development League – the third-tier of North American soccer. They finished mid-table in their division. Here are some of my images from this summer’s 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup that was held in Canada. I was fortunate enough to attend most of the matches in Edmonton this past June and July.
I used my recently purchased Sigma 120-300mm f/2.8 Sport lens mounted on a Nikon D7000 for the entire World Cup. The Sigma lens is a nice piece of equipment – solid and with a decent range of focal length that can hold f/2.8 all the way through.

A stargazing self-portrait at Lake Okanagan in British Columbia Sunday, June 2, 2013. Here are a few single images from the last few weeks. All are for work – except one. The stargazing, with hands-on-hips, self-portrait (above) was taken during a recent four day getaway and was my first ever attempt at capturing the night’s […]
