Was sent to provide images for a profile story on former women hockey Olympic player Cassie Campbell-Pascall. The gold medalist was running a hockey class for women at Canada Olympic Park.

TUESDAY, FEB. 21, 2012
A simple portrait of a Greek, who owns a restaurant in Calgary, to go along with a story on how the turmoils of the economic crisis in Greece is effecting locals.

Was sent to a school to gather images to go along with a story on a recent report ranking Alberta schools. You might assume kids would be quick to goof around for a photographer but young students often get on with what their doing – completely undistracted by the big lens in their faces.

A couple portraits of a young artist who was having a showing at the Art Gallery of Calgary. I used both wide and long lenses for the images, which gave two distinct looks, despite being the same subject, same one light system, same location, same painting.

With the Calgary Flames out of town this week, the WHL’s Calgary Hitmen were the only local sports photos needed for the paper.

A provincial election is looming in Alberta, and the party leaders are taking their initial steps on the campaign trail. Anyone familiar with the Alberta government landscape might appreciate this photo of New Democratic Party of Alberta leader Brian Mason awaiting a television interview.
It’s a lonely business for a left leaning party leader in conservative heavy Alberta.
