In Mexico, many families remember their dead loved ones during Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) festivities on the first two days of November every year. Relatives hold evening vigils at graves that are decorated with candles and flowers, commonly marigolds.
The traditional rituals held in the community of San Andres Míxquic, in southeast Mexico City, are some of the most famous Day of the Dead events in Mexico.
