The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge spent two days in Calgary for the final leg of their Canadian Royal Tour. Their visit happened to coincide with the start of the Calgary Stampede – the city’s annual exhibition and rodeo.
I made it to three of the royal couple’s official events, including both Stampede related events, during the whirlwind visit.
Whether an obsessed royal watcher, a staunch anti-monarchist, or a ‘can’t be bothered either way’, most people would probably agree that both Prince William and Princess Catherine wore their Smithbilt cowboy hats well.
